It's Monday Morning ... I wake up to gratitude texting accountability, goal setting accountability texts, healthy food prepped for the entire week, a hard workout that makes me SWEAT, a visualization of how I want to show up for the day and outcomes I want for my life, and dedicated thinking time. 😎🤔
This is how I start my morning, every morning. With intentionality and purpose. 🔥
Hour of Power, Morning Routine, whatever you call it, it is CRITICAL that YOU DECIDE how you are going to start your day, rather than allow the day to happen to you.
Now, I didn't always wake up to my hour of power. I used to wake up and the first thing I'd do was to tend to everyone else's needs and agendas. Wake up to text asking for something, my work email, the news, straight to work. It left me feeling rushed, unsettled, ungrounded, disconnected from my vision for how I choose to show up in the world and the sorts of outcomes I wanted for the day.
Now, my morning routine is sacred, and I can tell when I slip and don't do my morning routine. No bueno.

Here are a few pointers and ideas for you to build a kickass Morning Routine that will have you thriving in your life. That is, living with your SOUL ON FIRE.
1. Wake up with a Smile on Your Face 😁😊
Start the day with a BIG smile!! It’s your one precious life. Enjoy it!! Start the day by thinking of gratitude, what you’re excited about, who you love and who loves you.
Homework: for the next 7 days, start your day by going to the mirror and for 2 mins tell yourself why you love yourself, why you’re awesome, and why you deserve all that you desire in your life!
2. Move Your Body! 🏋️♂️🤸♀️🏊♂️
You’ve got to move! Sweat, give your body, your beautiful temple the loving and care that it so deserves. When you sweat and move, you allow your body to get rid of toxins, stress, move icky things out of your system. It makes your brain healthier. It’ll have you in a good mood all day! And, you’ll start the day knowing you already accomplished something. It doesn’t have to be a drag, just as soon as you open your eyes, put on your workout clothes you set out the night before, and GET OUT THE DOOR. Once you’re out the door, you’ll be glad you did!
Homework: I want you to work out 5x a week, and sweat for 45mins minimum.
3. Eat To NOURISH Your Body 🥦🥑🥗
Start your day by nourishing your body intentionally! Don’t just wake up and put whatever food is in the fridge in your body, think of if that food will nourish or clog your system. Will it lead to vitality or to you lacking energy by 3pm?
Also, HYDRATE!! Most people walk around super dehydrated. Please give your body the gift of proper hydration. If your pee is yellow, you are dehydrated. Yes, I went there.
4. Choose your focus and mindset 🧠
One of my fave quotes is “stand guard at the door of your mind.” I want you to be purposeful about the beliefs and ideas that you are giving power to. Thinking about fear and what could go wrong is not very empowering -- just as easily, you can focus on all your strengths, and what you INTEND to come true on this day. Visualize your day, your week, your year. Make yourself some empowering flashcards, listen to empowering playlists or motivational messages, read your vision statement for life, BE PURPOSEFUL about how you show up everyday.
5. Three to Thrive 😎🤠
A super powerful technique that I use on the daily is the THREE TO THRIVE. Everyday commit to THREE items that MUST be done by the time you go to sleep. This makes sure you prioritize what absolutely matters, that you stay focused, and that you stay accountable to yourself. So, what are your Three to Thrive?
Learn, baby, learn! Make it a habit, a practice to learn and to expand yourself beyond your comfort zone everyday. I start everyday by listening to an audiobook or coaching program. I am always pushing to learn more and this make me feel ALIVE. How are you making learning a daily practice?
